Green Bean Collection has been announced the winner of the 2020 UK Enterprise Award for Best Children’s Toys and Books retailer.

Established in 2017, this company honours the fact that children need space to read, play and discover. Green Bean Collection is made up of fictional characters: Green Bean, Mr Bear and new friend, Beckett the Bee, among others. They partake in fun adventures that take children on an exciting journey. The individuality of each character lends itself to lessons about the uniqueness of each child and how we are all special as we are. Green Bean Collection is specially designed to give early years children a kick start in literacy and maths while having outdoor fun adventures.

Community engagement is central to the brand’s marketing strategy. Founder and author, Anita Frost, has collaborated with big-name book and toy stores, hosting interactive storytelling events that leave children wanting more. This increase in demand has then led to the brand creating new characters and products. The company’s home base is Green Bean Studios. In just a few short years, many innovations have successfully taken place here. This work base has provided a number of employment opportunities for interns and freelance workers, and valuable work experience for students. Anita and the team have big plans for scaling up the business, and are preparing to raise funds for the future..
