Last year was EasyRead Time Teacher’s first time at Toy Fair. Nothing could have prepared us for how much fun it was going to be! We were in the Greenhouse Area and it was lovely to be surrounded by a hot-bed of new exhibitor creativity.
We loved the energy and buzz surrounding the whole event. We were excited as little kids to see the huge characters parading round, and desperate to have a go on the scooters, to name but a few. With such a variety of fantastic toys, we learned lots from seeing the way our fellow exhibitors displayed their products.
We hadn’t realised how large the media presence at Toy Fair would be. We met a whole host of journalists and bloggers relevant to our audience and made some really good contacts, who we’ve continued to work with throughout the year.
Then there was the Demo Zone. When I signed up to present my EasyRead Time Teacher clock in the Demo Zone, I didn’t realise I’d be presenting it to the hardest audience of them all – a panel of excited children, in front of the Toy Fair TV cameras! The kids were pretty brutal – but it was fun – and I think overall, we got the thumbs up… or was it the thumbs down? Thanks very much to Gavin, the TV presenter, for guiding me through that experience!
Finally, I must mention the most important group of all – the customers. We were impressed to see representatives of all the major high street toy retailers at Toy Fair. We met several large organisations that we’re now supplying and we’re delighted about that.
Toy Fair 2018 was a great experience for EasyRead Time Teacher, so we had no hesitation in signing up for 2019 – can’t wait for January!
