Please introduce yourself and your company:
Hey there, I am Anita Frost the Founder of Green Bean Studios, which is home to my authored children’s range ‘Green Bean Collection.’ Here at the Green Bean Studios, the growth and happiness of young children is central to what we do.
To ensure that language and communication skills are developed from infancy, we seek to provide fun, interactive books and toys to entice and excite children. In an age of technological advancement and electronic gadgets, we help children to find a love for playing, reading and learning from early childhood.
With our fictional character, Green Bean, we take children on an adventure of learning and understanding, highlighting key vocabulary and identifying areas of interest for children. Through enhancing their imaginations and broadening their horizons, we help children to think creatively and grow in confidence.
What products are you excited to share at the Toy Fair?
We are super excited to be showcasing Green Beans all-new packaging, which has been a big hit with the kids, making Green Bean a household friend.
Through our fictional characters, Green Bean, and friends, we encourage children to understand the beauty of friendship and learning, through enhancing their imaginations and broadening their horizons. By inviting children to think creatively and voice their opinions, we create an atmosphere that boosts a child’s confidence.
We recognise the importance of children embarking on their own adventures, and strongly believe that through stories children can vicariously try new experiences and ideas.
How did you get into the toy industry?
As a published author and entrepreneur with a growing children’s brand, the next step for the characters was to bring them to life. So here we are, crash landing in the toy industry, having the most fun bringing the adventures of Green Bean and friends to life.
What was your favourite toy growing up?
I very much loved playing with my barbies, particularly Dee Dee my ethnic barbie and all the accessories – horse and clothes.
What is the one “special ingredient” that makes a great toy?
When the toy becomes a child’s best friend which makes them smile, and the child then loves to share everyday moments with that toy.
What was your best memory of Toy Fair?
My first Toy Fair with the team we received the best welcome and support from organisers and PR teams – the feedback and new contacts we made was fantastic!
What’s your top tip for surviving Toy Fair?
Comfy shoes, healthy eating, set goals, be open-minded and enjoy yourselves.
