Tactic Games has been exhibiting at Toy Fair for many years now, so it’s an important date in our trade show calendar and a show we wouldn’t want to miss. Being at Olympia in January gives us the opportunity to meet all our customers under one roof and to catch up after the Christmas trading period and hear how the season fared for everyone. With games sales happening later each year, it really is useful to get this feedback so soon after the festivities are over and to hear where the real successes have been.
We always have an array of super new games to present – our catalogue is bigger than many realise – so it’s useful to gather valuable feedback and see which themes and play patterns are likely to get the most support over the coming year. We also enjoy welcoming the team from Finland to Toy Fair and we know they enjoy their visit to London and seeing first-hand how the UK is performing. They take back lots of valuable insight to share with the product and marketing teams at HQ and then we’re all set to support our customers as best we can over the coming twelve months.
Reflecting on Toy Fair 2019, it was a very positive show for us and the start of a new chapter for the company following some team changes. We launched family favourite Doodle Doo, new pre-school games Speedy Beedy and Masha and the Bear and a UK version of our classic word game Alias and all have performed well for us. We also debuted a strikingly colourful new stand design to showcase our great variety of games and we were delighted with the compliments we received. It’s a very welcoming stand and we clearly set out how our catalogue is divided into children’s games, family games, party games and outdoor, so whatever your main interest is, we can take you straight to it and let you get “hands on” with the demonstration samples on display.
Our “Don’t Upset The Llama” family game also won a Toy Fair Hero award in 2019 and this generated even more interest in Tactic and what we offer across our games portfolio. We are keen to raise our profile with consumers in the UK so this accolade really helped from a PR point of view. We are now hoping that more media visit us in January so they can see what we will be following up with for 2020. Trust me when I say there are some amazing new games that will be very newsworthy and on-trend, so we look forward to meeting new faces and sharing the Tactic story far and wide.
