My Toy Fair Blog – Zimpli Kids

  1. Please introduce yourself and your company:
My name is Rianne, and I work with Zimpli Kids as a Sales Account Manager.

  2. What products are you launching at Toy Fair?
A lot! We have a huge variety of Baff Bombz, including our ‘Special Effects’ range, and my personal favourite, our Planet Baff Bombz set with fact cards for each planet in our solar system. We have our Floating Baff Putty complete with putty moulds, which I think is great fun, and makes a fantastic fidget toy as well.

Not forgetting our Galaxy Slime Play and Baff range, which has glow in the dark features as well as an experimental element. We have a brand new Gelli and Slime range complete with inflatable toys for the bath. Then there is our Magic Paint Brush, which you can change your bath water colour with.

We have much more as well, so make sure you stop by and say hello. You won’t be disappointed.

  3. How did you get into the toy industry?
I was lucky enough to start at Zimpli Kids a few years ago. They are my doorway to the toy industry, and I love it! Best door I have ever opened.

  4. What was your favourite toy growing up?
Anything related to Betty Boop. I still collect her figurines now. My favourite is probably the Betty Boop Biker range.

  5. What is the one “special ingredient” that makes a great toy?
I would say if it’s fun and interactive then it is a great toy. The ability to create a smile and a laugh. We are in the business of spreading smiles after all.

  6. Other than your own, what toy brand really stands out to you today?
I really like the Science Museum toy range for educational reasons. My 9-year-old son Leo absolutely loves them as we make them as a family and he learns all about whichever process it takes to build them, so I would say they are a big hit for me.
  7. What was your best memory of Toy Fair?
I really enjoyed the Batmobile that visited in 2019. That was brilliant! That, and when the Toy Fair TV presenter climbed into our bath full of slime!
  8. What’s your top tip for surviving Toy Fair?
    Comfy shoes!
