Hello everyone, we are back with the Toy Fair 2020 blog!
I hope you had a lovely and glorious summer! But now the jumpers have started to come out the wardrobe, it can only mean one thing. It’s nearly Toy Fair time!
If this is your first Toy Fair, welcome to the gang. Toy Fair is a very open and friendly trade event, where you will see brilliant new toys and meet fantastic people. There’s nothing quite like it!
Before we kick off, I wanted to share some really exciting news with you. This year, for the first time, press and influencers will both have a dedicated day at Toy Fair. Press Day will still be on Tuesday 21st January, with our very first Influencer Day held on Wednesday the 22nd.
We expect the nation’s press and broadcasters to join us for Press Day, while our new Influencer Day is a great opportunity for you to be featured by top content creators. The day will include a dedicated influencer tour, where we bring YouTubers directly to you to showcase your inventions. Look out for more details in your inbox soon!
We’ll be talking about the media days and much more in our new Toy Fairs Tips videos, launching in October. These short YouTube videos will show you how to make the most of Toy Fair, from crafting a great PR story to making the most of the Demo Zone. Stay tuned!
Now, back to the blog. With so much going on over the three days, it is easy to miss something. So, with that in mind, the Toy Fair blog is the ideal place to get a head start. You can find out about many of the exciting launches expected at the show, plus fun and interesting stories from your fellow exhibitors.
Once again, we’ll be posting our blogs every Monday and Friday. Posts on Monday will be articles written by our exhibitors, covering everything from stand-out memories of the show, to the important trends that will shape the year ahead. Last year we had some fantastic contributions, including top brands like Funko and Greenhouse exhibitors such as Easy Read Time Teacher. We can’t wait to share more of these stories with you over the coming months.
Fridays see the return of “Toy Fair Spotlight” where we’ll ask exhibitors to answer quick-fire questions on themselves and their toys. Discover who loved what toy growing up, or their tips for what makes a great toy!
If you’re interested in taking part in our blog series, then drop the Bastion team a line at firstname.lastname@example.org. We still have slots available, but they’ll go fast.
I hope you enjoy this year’s series of blogs and I look forward to seeing you at Olympia in just three months’ time!
