Toy Fair 2026 will mark MOMO-TOKO’s very first appearance — and it feels like a homecoming for everything we love about design, storytelling, and play. For us, toys are more than collectibles; they’re emotional companions that connect people across cultures.

As a Los Angeles–based design studio with deep roots across Asia, MOMO-TOKO was born from a belief that design can bridge worlds. We create original character IPs — like Fif-a-Lif, AH-ZOOMIES, MODE-S, Axolita, Yo!! Mirua, Sooki, and Bearly Living — each with its own attitude, personality, and emotional story. Our debut at London Toy Fair 2026 represents not just a product launch, but the start of a new dialogue between East and West — between heartfelt storytelling and Gen-Z creativity.

The global art toy scene has evolved rapidly, led by icons like Pop Mart and Labubu, but there’s still so much room for voices that celebrate inclusivity, imperfection, and emotion. MOMO-TOKO’s mission is simple: “Bring people together through design, emotion, and play — creating a world where everyone feels seen and connected.” We want visitors to feel that energy the moment they step into our booth — an explosion of colour, emotion, and characters that each tell their own story.

This Toy Fair is especially meaningful because it’s where we’ll unveil our first physical prototypes — meticulously developed from Los Angeles with creative partners across Asia. Behind every figure is a collaborative process that blends storytelling, industrial design, and fashion-level detail. We’re excited to meet retailers, collaborators, and fellow creators who share the same belief: that toys can be art, and art can be played.

Looking ahead, we see Toy Fair as the start of a long-term creative journey. 2026 will be about connection — finding new partners, exploring new markets, and introducing the MOMO-TOKO world to the next generation of collectors.

How many years have you exhibited at Toy Fair? Any favourite memories?

This will be our first year exhibiting at Toy Fair — a milestone we’ve dreamed about since MOMO-TOKO was founded. Our Creative Director studied at Central Saint Martins in London, so bringing our debut back to the city where it all began feels incredibly special. Seeing our first prototypes come to life and preparing our booth for the world to meet our characters has already become one of our favourite memories. It’s more than a showcase — it’s the beginning of a new chapter for us as creators.

What top tip would you give to a fellow exhibitor or visitor attending their first Toy Fair?

Come with curiosity — not just a pitch. Toy Fair is one of those rare places where creativity and business truly meet, so take the time to walk around, connect, and be inspired. Talk to people, share your story, and listen to theirs. You never know which conversation will spark your next collaboration. And most of all, enjoy it — it’s a celebration of imagination, hard work, and everything we love about making toys.
