We are delighted to be inviting Toy Fair Visitors to come and visit our stand and to share our growth and present our exciting, innovative, sustainable, unmatched value ranges. Only in the last 5 years have wooden toys become more popular as we move towards an eco-friendlier future. However, as 8th Wonder celebrates its 25th anniversary, we are proud to call ourselves experts in the design and manufacture of wooden toys that aren’t only affordable to the mass market but sustainable.

Sustainability is a major part of our company ethos. ALL of 8th Wonder’s wooden toys are made from FSC-certified wood and we strive for an even greener future in our sustainability promise for 2023. By the new year, all of 8th Wonder’s packaging will be FSC-certified, plastic-free and will carry the OPRL label, whilst our plush toys will be made from recycled materials.

8th Wonder’s Toy Fair story begins back in 2000. Since then, we have exhibited a further 9 times at Excel and 3 times at Olympia. 2004 was probably our most memorable year for all the wrong reasons, when we had a large steel self-build stand (which we certainly haven’t replicated since!) It’s always great to reflect on how much we have grown as a company, for 20 years we have worked in the background on our own brand projects. It’s been amazing over the past 5 years to be able to use our expertise on licence products across plush and wooden toys under the 8th Wonder brand! 23 years after our first Toy Fair, we have signed deals with top performing brands such as Barbie, Bluey, Hey Duggee, Jurassic World, Fisher Price, Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol, Paddington, Little Tikes, The Great British Bake Off and many more.

It was great to reconnect with everyone at last year’s Toy Fair and to meet customers and colleagues face to face. The technology used during Covid was key to enable businesses to continue to preview ranges. However, there is nothing more important than face to face meetings, where you can look at the quality of the actual product in real life.

2022 was a brilliant year for 8th Wonder, our highlight of the year was back in May 2022 when we announced our partnership with BBC Studios & Ludo to create a Bluey wooden toy range for 2023. We have also extended various key licence partnerships including Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig and Hey Duggee. We had numerous exciting new product launches including the Barbie 2 in 1 Vet & Grooming Station, Jurassic World Track and Play Set, Creation Stations and The Great British Bake-Off wooden playset range.
