What is your favourite part about working in the toy industry?

We’re lucky to be part of an industry that’s fun and brings smiles out in those retailing the products and the end consumers.

Give us the inside scoop, what products are you launching at Toy Fair 2024?

We are so excited to be launching our first ever license and thrilled it’s Peter Rabbit and Friends. It’s a perfect fit with our brand and ethos and we are hopeful its going to be a big hit!

What trends do you predict for the Toy industry in 2024?

More funky vehicles to go with the Hot Wheels movie, more emphasis on eco-friendly toys and perhaps a few more retro toys.

How many years have you exhibited at Toy Fair ? Any favourite memories?

Orchard Toys has had a stand at the fair for over 40 years. Next year will be my 30th Toy Fair. I have plenty of Toy Fair memories but I think my favourite was walking back into Olympia to begin the set up there after having held the show at Excel for a few years. It felt good to be back.

What is your favourite toy?

As a child it was one called ‘Vertibird’, which involved controlling a model helicopter to pick up and drop objects. As an adult, bring Dobble out with a few drinks and I’d be happy

What top tip would you give to a fellow exhibitor or visitor attending their first Toy Fair?

If you are an exhibitor wear warm clothes for set up!
